THE FOLLOWING
INFORMATION IS IMPORTANT FOR TELLING YOU WHY YOU SHOULD ADVERTISE ON ME:
I have had a very cool
and interesting career on eBay. I started selling in 1998. I was
looking for a way to stay awake during the day while I watched my
newborn son after working third shift all night long. This soon became
my passion as I started to create a business. It did not take long for
the business to take off and once eBay held it's first eBay live
conference in 2002 we were one of the first shooting star feedback
holders (10,000 feedback). eBay flew me to that conference and shacked
me up as well as special motivational treatment to do bigger and better
things.
By the second eBay Live
in Florida we had achieved 20,000 feedbacks and again eBay flew us to
the event and shacked us up as well.
The third eBay Live was
in New Orleans and I was around 40,000 feedbacks. No free ticket on
this one but soon after I was asked by eBay to lobby congress and
senate leaders in Washington at their behalf against taxation of the
internet (yep FREE TICKET TO RIDE). It was fun and truly an unique
experience.
Soon after I was sent
(FREE RIDE, lol) to join a group at eBay called eBay Voices. This is a
cross section of the community that contributes to eBay CEO's and
Managers our thoughts about the site. Almost like a think tank of
sorts. I did pass on the next eBay live because I had just come back
from California Headquarters from that event. I actually hit 50,000
feedbacks while in a meeting with community development leaders at eBay.
eBay Live 2006 WAS COOL.
By this time I expanded my well known self into the Weird Category. A
goofy auction here and there gained me a lot of exposure and a lot of
media coverage. Myself and 7 others were branded "eBay Celebrities" by
the bidding giant GOLDENPALACE as they bought an auction for us to
advertise on them at the event for $13,000. (cool Beans)
But now I am running
this advertising auction. I have spent years networking within eBay and
abroad. I am a member of PESA as well as an unique character among the
off eBay website culture about weird auctions. As many as 30 websites
promote unique auctions and I have the great pleasure of knowing many
of them. I have met everyone from Business week, to my local newspaper
and had a lot of write-ups along the way.
YOU ARE BIDDING ON THE
FOLLOWING: You get to advertise on me (T-Shirt, Temp Tattoo's, eTc.) as
I go public with my discust over corp. eBay... Yes that is right. I am
upset with eBay. I don't like the direction the site is heading in,
that I have spent so much time and energy helping build. The straw that
broke the camels back was when eBay changed fee structures for certain
reasons. I am about to send out invites for interviews to all the top
dogs of the media world. I will wear your T-Shirt for any released
photos for articles. If I get any interviews I will be wearing your
T-Shirt. I will also mention my crazy auctions in the press releases by
contributing you as a winning bidder to t
